Brady Plus

We are in search of a Category Manager to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for optimizing the sales, profitability, and strategic development of assigned product categories. The Category Specialist will manage supplier relationships, analyze market and sales data, and collaborate cross-functionally to support category growth. This role plays a key part in the execution of BradyPLUS’s customer-focused and data-driven approach to category management.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Analyze category performance to identify sales trends, gaps, and opportunities
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional support
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and supply chain performance
• Support the development and execution of category plans, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
• Work with sales and marketing teams to communicate product updates and market insights
• Assist in product selection and development, including onboarding new items or discontinuing underperformers
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform category strategies
• Maintain accurate system records related to pricing, product specifications, and vendor data
• Coordinate with customer service, purchasing, and operations for smooth category execution
• Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries related to category performance or product availability
• Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in category management, procurement, or sales support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier and team collaboration
• Proven negotiation abilities with attention to profitability and value creation
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data and documentation
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems (S2K or equivalent) is a plus
• Knowledge of packaging, janitorial, or industrial supply categories is preferred

Compensation & Benefits 

Pay Transparency States as of March 2025: CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, D.C, MA, MN, NY, RI, WA, OH

The pay range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
