We are in search of a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This role involves executing preventative maintenance schedules, diagnosing complex equipment issues, and ensuring optimal equipment performance to support production operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems for production and blending equipment.
- Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Utilize PLC programming and diagnostics to identify and resolve automation-related issues.
- Maintain Apex automated bottle liquid filling lines and associated systems, including conveyors, cap sealers, lot coders, labelers, and case tapers.
- Ensure the operational efficiency of Lyish and RCM Non-Woven Converting Machines, including mechanical and electronic components.
- Oversee the maintenance of Leibinger Lot Coders, scheduling specialized service as needed.
- Service EPak liquid filling lines, including cap sorters, PE Labellers, and heat shrink tunnels.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Kansan Wet Wipe automated soft flat pack assembly lines.
- Install and calibrate sensors and electronic systems for monitoring production output (e.g., Vorne systems).
- Develop and manage a comprehensive parts inventory system to support maintenance operations.
- Comply with all safety standards, ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, including motors, wiring, and controls.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting for systems integration and automation.
- Knowledge of fluid handling systems, including diaphragm pumps and recirculating pumps.
- Familiarity with Reverse Osmosis systems and experience coordinating with subcontractors for maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required, technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a multi-craft maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven expertise in maintaining automated production lines and complex machinery.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand and walk for prolonged periods during 10-hour shifts.
- Frequently perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), crouching, and stooping.
- Work in environments with high noise levels, varying temperatures, and exposure to wet or humid conditions.
- Handle and work around moving mechanical parts safely.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including potential overtime, to meet production needs.
- Participation in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a backup in production should staffing levels demand it.
