We are searching for a Production Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for all finished goods production, scheduling, raw materials chemical inventory, inventory accuracy, work orders, and coordination with Procurement. The objective of this position is to maximize inventory availability to support sales and profitability of the Company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Additional projects and tasks that will expose the individual to other areas of the organization.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the chemical production area, ensuring production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
- Crosstrain Warehouse Manager and Lead for proper backup and coverage.
- Ensure safety protocols and best practices are followed.
- Plan and schedule production to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, while optimizing resource utilization.
- Publishes production reporting to Procurement and Finance.
- Accountable for coordinating with various internal departments (i.e., accounting, sales, and marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supervises, trains, provides guidance, assigns duties, reviews, and assists team members (in a union environment).
- Resolve problems, completes audits, identifies trends, and reports important or otherwise relevant operations information and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with company and legal regulations.
- Assists staff in completing daily duties in a timely manner as necessary. Duties may include order processing, shipping-related tasks, and record keeping.
- Oversee quality, safety, and certification programs.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of Chemical production or dilution experience
- BS/BA degree preferred in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work various shifts to train or backup management when required with overtime as needed.
- Advance MS Office Proficiency.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time, frequently lift 50 pounds and move 100 pounds. Assistance is provided with equipment for other lifting needs.
