Repair Technician 

 

We are searching for a Repair Technician to join our growing team. In this role you will Deal with customers and receive orders to repair machines. Gives estimates and repairs as needed.


Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Repair all floor and carpet care equipment sold by this company and, where applicable, other
  • makes and models.
  • Coordinate with Sanitary Maintenance Consultants and Service Center Manager for
  • appointments.
  • Calculate estimates on parts and labor when requested and notify customer.
  • Daily: Maintain and keep the vehicle clean at all times, inside and out, dispose of all trash
  • (i.e. cardboard cartons, plastic, etc.) Responsible for maintaining installation van log. Check
  • oil, battery, and radiator. Power steering and brake fluid should be checked (weekly.)
  • Label and repair all machines as required when brought into Service Center for repair or
  • done on site.
  • Upon completion of repair, properly fill out repair work order.
  • Make on-location service calls to larger equipment when not feasible to bring into Service
  • Department and perform preventative maintenance when applicable.
  • Pick up and deliver larger equipment when trailer is needed to do so.
  • Keep work area in clean and safe condition.
  • Operate forklift if needed.
  • Does all welding required in service area and warehouse (based on location - experience
  • welder only).
  • Other duties as assigned 


The ideal candidate will have:  

  • Must lift up to 100 lbs
  • Able to read electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of electronic circuitry 
  • Mechanical/Diagnostic background required 
  • Able to handle awkwardly sized items 
  • Able to be forklift certified 
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours 
  • Computer literate 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize. 
  • Well organized. 
  • Hold a current and valid driver's license in the state of your employment. 
  • Provide and maintain a clean driving record (MVR). 
  • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Proficient PC Skills including Microsoft Office Suite, AS400, and Internet. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Detail oriented and excellent follow up skills. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills. 
  • Work well with customers and employees.
