Job Description

We are in search of a Service Technician to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for maintaining equipment repairs, either at the Service Repair Center or onsite at the customer’s location. A Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment upon the customer’s request. In addition, this position schedules and completes service calls to ensure proper and timely repairs are completed, coordinates with dispatch daily, maintains accurate paperwork on all repairs performed, as well as performs planned and unplanned scheduled maintenance calls.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Must have working knowledge of troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing floor care equipment, auto scrubbers, vacuums, and electrical systems
  • Pick-up and deliver equipment and performs repairs on site
  • Provides customer training on the use and maintenance of service equipment
  • Follows all applicable safety guidelines, government regulations, company’s safety manuals and/or stated safety policies
  • Follows up on all customer requests and questions to ensure appropriate response is made and the customer is satisfied
  • Maintains a service van and its inventory
  • Process paperwork upon completion of each repair performed
  • Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
  • Treats all internal and external customers with respect and courtesy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment and role
  • Ability to verbally communicate with customer as well as listen to concerns
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems, analyze, and create a plan
  • Must be able to manage own’s time and stay organized
  • Must be team orientated and customer focused
  • Strong customer care skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good driving record and must release Motor Vehicle Records upon offer
  • Ability to safely operate equipment needed to perform essential tasks
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer, telephone, headset, and photocopiers.
