Transportation Assistant


Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:30pm



Position Overview 

The Transportation Assistant will be responsible for making as needed small parcel deliveries. 

 

Responsibilities Include    

  • Monitoring route progress and performance of drivers on route
  • Serving as a liaison to communicate feedback to and from sales, dispatch, and customer service
  • Preparing documentation for shipping, checking manifests, invoices, and processing orders
  • Ability to comprehend and implement basic supply chain strategies 
  • Monitoring fleet equipment for preventative maintenance and repair scheduling and readiness
  • Assist in Driver Qualification file maintenance
  • Coordinate order loading and assist the Night Warehouse Manager in problem solving and decision making
  • Accurately and efficiently following through on Driver and Customer needs 
  • Assist the Transportation Manager as needed 
  • Deliver small parcels when needed to customers in emergency cases
  • Additional Duties as needed by Hill & Markes Management

 

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A valid NYS Drivers License     


Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $23-$27/hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
