Warehouse Manager
We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to direct and coordinate activities of the warehouse and transportation operations to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Responsibilities include overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. The Warehouse Managers will ensure the productivity and financial targets are achieved and that all warehouse and transportation processes are running smoothly and promptly to meet and exceed our customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviews financial results of warehouse and transportation operations, compares to prior year and budget and takes actions for improvement.
- Accountable to achieving financial and KPI targets.
- Analyzes weekly and monthly productivity reports to determine where improvements can be made and implements improvement actions.
- Responsible for reviewing sales levels to determine allocation and assignment of employees. Manages and prioritizes projects and schedules.
- Collaborates with sales team, customer service, accounts payable, finance, and other internal teams.
- Maintains positive associate and cross-functional team morale.
- Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluations of employees. Including supervising, hiring, disciplining, firing, training, planning/assigning work tasks, performance evaluations, rewarding employees and addressing employee concerns in accordance with all applicable laws and BradyPLUS policies/procedures.
- Responsible for warehouse inventory control and continually seeks out improvements or best practices.
- Responsible for sanitation and physical condition of warehouse, material handling equipment and rolling stock.
- Schedules and supervises all repairs as needed, to include review of bids and subsequent service agreements. Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment to increase efficiency and service of department.
- Responsible for the safety of employees and visitors. Directs investigations of all accidents and recommends corrective action. Follows up to ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken.
- Ensures that the location safety committee meets on a regular basis and follows through on their recommendations.
- Ensures compliance with all State, Federal, and Industry related administrative policies and procedures, safety rules as well as BradyPLUS policies/procedures.
- Investigates customer or shipper complaints and responds accordingly. Follows up on ALL customer requests and inquiries to ensure great customer service.
Ideal Candidate will have:
- High school diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- A valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience
- 5-7 years of warehouse/distribution management or related experience required
