Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring operational excellence to meet company goals and customer expectations. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain productivity standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Plan and assign work schedules, considering workload and operational priorities.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service) to meet shipping and delivery deadlines.
  • Track performance metrics such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, and inventory shrinkage.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Handle employee performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions when necessary.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (MS Office).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Physical requirements: Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
