Inventory Lead Control Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
Required to develop inventory strategies that maximize space opportunities & overflow locating, as well as, increasing efficiencies whenever possible. Responsible for managing the inventory control clerk position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage VoCollect system. Including updates, system/equipment failures, adding employees to system, and work with employees to make voice the most efficient as it can be
- Investigate and track shortages and inventory discrepancies, as well as any other inventory issues. Coordinate with other departments communicating through email, phone and voicemail.
- Assist with the inventory stratification project and perform any duties to benefit this project.
- Manage the replenishment of the primary picking locations from the inventory let down system and or over-flow storage locations for the day and night shift picking crews.
- Analyze the business activity of the inventory and locate products based on fastest to slowest moving products.
- Responsible for determining where all new incoming product will be located based on forecasts and usage.
- Monitor sales of new products to be sure forecasts are being met.
- Locate the products based on (Pallet Building Concept) Base, Middle, Top and pick frequency to improve picking and storage efficiency.
- Work with purchasing and other departments to reduce inventory that is in the warehouse. Look at duplicate items, slow moving items, discontinued items and analyze and reduce SKU’s.
- Work with any and/or all sources to reduce on hand inventory of discontinued products. Offer to sales, vendor returns, auction, sell on the web.
- Purchasing and recommendations of racking and equipment needs to control the inventory management.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from high school, the possession of a high school equivalency diploma and some college or equivalent work experience that would demonstrate general math skills and the ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written communication from supervisor and co-worker.
- Three to five years’ experience in an inventory role preferably in a warehouse atmosphere.
- Three years prior supervisory experience
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $21-$27 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
