We are in search of a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This role will provide professional Human Resources services to union employees including: benefits, CBA inquiries, compensation, employee relations, and attendance point system. Advises and consults with Warehouse Managers on union employee’s attendance and probationary period. Advise Warehouse Managers and Supervisors on policies and practices concerning the CBA
Responsibilities Include:
- Benefit & 401k Union Administration:
- Administers employee health and welfare benefits.
- Audits monthly benefit reports and ensure correct enrollments.
- Maintains open enrollment activities through Maxwell system
- Assist with basic 401k enrollments/status changes/inquiries
- Leave Management: Hartford
- Liaison between employees, managers, payroll and union on leaves of absence.
- Ensures accurate tracking of FMLA, ADA accommodations, short/long-term disability.
- Ensures all parties are involved in leave status and return to work.
- Employee & Labor Relations Support:
- Build positive relationships with union employees and supervisors
- Works with HR Director to support labor and employee relations.
- Assist in preparing documentation and communications that support the investigations and the grievance process.
- Formats written warnings and collects data for the HR Director to review.
- Assist with terminations, compiles all data for the HR Director to review.
- Data and Record Management:
- Manages all HR related records: personnel, I-9, New hire orientations, new hire packages and term packages.
- Maintains union headcount be used in HR reporting requirements
- Completes report generation, data input and tracking as requested.
- Payroll/HR system
- ADP Union new hire enrollments/terminations/changes on status
- Assist with union penalty audits
- Perform special projects as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field is required. Minimum of four years of experience encompassing all areas of human resources.
- Working knowledge or direct experience with Federal and State wage and hour regulations and practices required.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience with benefits administration including FMLA and Short-Term Disability.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Self-starter who can effectively function independently and has sense of urgency in executing duties.
- A proactive, results-driven individual with a strong desire to succeed and who enjoys a challenge.
- Strong organizational and project/time management skills with ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects while simultaneously managing deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to explain concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of organization
- Strong integrity and ethical standards, as well as work ethic with ability to maintain confidentiality at highest level.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively, ability to observe, ability to move, ability to adjusts, ability to perceive.
- Incumbents require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; push, pull, lift, and/or carry light amounts of weight.
Environment:
Standard office setting with some travel to various locations.

The pay range for this role is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
