Job Description

We are searching for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for implementing and improving warehouse procedures, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external customers, and upholding safety standards. Additionally, the Warehouse Supervisor leads the training and development of operations team members to foster a productive, safe, and service-oriented work environment.  

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Responsible for warehouse inventory control for the shift and continually seeks out improvements or best practices.
  • Lead the selection, training, direction, and motivation of warehouse personnel to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Lead, Night Warehouse Supervisor, and Warehouse Manager; provide coverage and support during their absence.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and consistently used in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Monitor and track driver credentials, including medical certifications, license expirations, HAZMAT endorsements, and license classifications.
  • Utilize routing software to optimize delivery routes, assign drivers, update delivery instructions and coordinate the collection and documentation of Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
  • Determines staffing levels and assign workload. 
  • The responsibility for ensuring shift is pulling and loading items for the next day delivery.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance to Warehouse Manager. 
  • Responsible for sanitation and physical condition of warehouse, material handling equipment and rolling stock for the shift.
  • Directs investigations of all accidents and recommends corrective action. Follows up to ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Ensures compliance with all State, Federal, and Industry related administrative policies and procedures, safety rules as well as BradyPLUS policies/procedures.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of warehouse/distribution experience required
  • 1+ years supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of shipping, receiving, and delivery processes, with a strong emphasis on inventory control and fleet management.
  • Experience with ERP and Microsoft Applications
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance record.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs.
