Warehouse Worker
We are in search of a Warehouse Worker to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations, including the accurate receiving, stocking, and organization of merchandise. This role involves using an order picker to handle incoming inventory and ensure items are stored properly for efficient retrieval and distribution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receiving of product, proper put-a-way.
- Loading/Unloading of delivery trucks.
- When pulling will calls, pull the proper merchandise and amounts.
- Insure all items received are in accordance with packing slip and P.O.
- Insure items received are in salable condition; if not, refuse shipment or that portion.
- Notify Purchasing immediately of damage, shortage, mis shipment, overage, etc., prior to delivery driver leaving.
- Notify Purchasing if items are special order.
- Warehouse merchandise in accordance with palletizing procedures, etc.
- Insure delivery driver signs packing slip denoting any discrepancies.
- Insure all personnel operating equipment are safety oriented.
- All areas are clean and neat; clean up all oil spills for personal safety.
- Charge batteries in accordance with specifications, check battery water on a weekly basis.
- Insure all hand truck, handling equipment are safe to use.
- If maintenance is performed by company personnel or outside, inspect work for completion and safety.
- Daily inspection of all handling equipment for excessive fluid leaks and proper operation.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping/receiving, or related fields preferred, but open to entry-level candidates.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy: experience with inventory management systems or handheld scanners is a plus.
- Ability to operate an order picker
- Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks; forklift certification preferred but not required, but a plus
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 20 to 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach overhead as needed.
- Dexterity to perform various tasks using hands.
- Ability to climb ladders or use step stools to retrieve items from higher shelves.
- Capable of pushing and pulling carts, pallets, or heavy equipment
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $17.00-$20.00 hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
