Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Consolidations Group. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert on complex accounting issues and new accounting standards, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory requirements. You will work cross-functionally with business controllers, finance and accounting teams to provide accounting guidance on transactions, support financial reporting, and assist with policy development. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide technical accounting expertise on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, consolidations, M&A activities, and fair value measurements.
  • Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards; ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Responsible for purchase accounting, goodwill and intangibles, annual impairment analysis.
  • Prepare debt roll forwards, ensure proper classification and disclosure related information in the financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit required financial reports for lender reporting and synergies tracking.
  • Account for insurance plans and prepaid expenses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Drive process improvements by implementing the best practices and recommending more efficient and effective solutions.
  • Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting to support conclusions and communicate accounting treatments to stakeholders.
  • Help ensure adherence to financial controls and compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during quarterly reviews and year-end audit.
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of technical accounting experience with a public company or Big 4 public accounting. 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to break down complex accounting principles and positions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business partners while taking responsibility for and ownership of assigned work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, OneStream is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person.
  • Ability to pass job-related employment screenings.

 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

The pay range for this role is $125,000 to $165,000. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
