Job Description

We are in search of a Seasonal Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team. This role will pull orders, receive product, load trucks, and prepare for next day delivery

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Prepare orders to be shipped via UPS/Fed-Ex or common carrier, or with the walk-in customers. 
  • Loading and unloading freight; stock of product; rotation of product; layout of products in warehouse. 
  • Assist with bin location audits; inventory control and cycle counting 
  • Assist with merchandising displays as needed. 
  • Assist with deliveries as needed.  
  • Cross-train in various Warehouse activities/tasks. 
  • Become proficient with the computer software programs; assisting with the implementation and utilization of future bar-coding systems, as needed and utilized at Energyst. 
  • Provide professional sales assistance and customer service to the walk-in trade. 
  • Assist with facilities maintenance and be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the warehouse and entrance: floor/carpet sweep, and emptying of waste bins. 
  • Assist with other affiliate companies; shipping and receiving.  
  • Complete all OSHA/HR training within the required timelines. 
  • Responsible for timely responses and utilization of the communication tools available, such as voice mail, e-mail, etc. Attends, participates and arrives on time to meetings when scheduled. 
  • Follow all procedures and policies; consistently keep safety as a primary focus on all tasks.  
  • Look for ways to improve efficiencies and cost savings; share with Director.  
  • Keeping Energyst and affiliate business related issues confidential. Embrace and promote the ES Vision, Mission and Core Values. 
  • Promote a positive attitude and work habits; work with other team members in a positive manner.   
  • Miscellaneous duties or projects as assigned. 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license, good driving record at all time; adherence to Risk Management Policy. Forklift license.  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear and smell.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit.         The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance as needed.  Push and pull from 10-2500 pounds using appropriate material handling equipment, operate auto scrubbers, vacuums, wet/dry vacs, extractors, sweepers, floor machines, and other janitorial cleaning equipment.         May need to use a ramp, push, or pull automatic scrubbers or other equipment up or down the ramp.         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to pass job-related employment screenings.
