POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is designed to identify, develop, and maintain national account opportunities and sales. The role will be focused on acquiring new national customers as well as maintaining and growing our customer base for large national clients.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommend appropriate pricing and service strategies for target accounts.
  • Negotiate and enforce correct cost for the contract with the manufacturer community.
  • Heavy analysis of current customer accounts as well as overall contract activity
  • Responsible for communicating activities and results to respective management as required.
  • Participate as a key player in BradyPLUS National Account sales strategy development.
  • Maintain primary account responsibility for current defined National Accounts as assigned, to expand that business with the support of internal sales resources.
  • Work with BradyPLUS divisions to coordinate national account programs and enhance overall national account development in meeting strategic sales goals and objectives.
  • Help ensure we comply with contract T&Es and we set up correctly over the term of the contract.
  • Manage business activity and development through company required software programs.
  • Effectively use company-sponsored tools for time and territory management.
  • Contact and develop programs for national account targets as defined and assigned.
  • Establish appropriate sales strategies and identify requirements, capabilities, and resources to accomplish goals and drive compliance.
  • Perform training and presentations geared towards informing reps on contract requirements and tools to better utilize national contracts.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to maximize the network of resources available in moving business forward.
  • Tradeshow and convention participation at various national events.
  • Travel frequently to various locations to interact with specified accounts.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous selling experience with emphasis on calling large, complex customers.
  • Janitorial Equipment / Facilities Maintenance Supplies background, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Strong analytical skills for manipulating data and combining and utilizing multiple reports to come to a desired data set in Excel.
  • Exceptional people skills.
  • Ability to present before large groups.
  • Proven record of superior leadership in building a team-based organization.
  • Demonstrated/effective organizational skills, conflict management skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with vendors, customers, and corporate & division personnel.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the US.
