Job Description

We are in search of a CDL Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining the highest of standards for safety and customer service. This position will transport products to customers and support warehouse functions, preparing orders to be delivered.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Operate a straight truck, box truck, or commercial motor vehicle to transport products to customer locations along an assigned delivery route.
  • Learn and optimize assigned delivery routes to support timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure correct order fulfillment and maintain proper delivery documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, packing slips, and other required paperwork.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including DVIRs, report vehicle issues immediately, and maintain cleanliness of the assigned vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete required safety training and operate equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Wear company apparel as required and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, warehouse personnel, and management.
  • Take ownership of customer needs with speed and urgency while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Assist with preparing orders, loading and unloading products, stocking inventory, and general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:  

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver; delivery route experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
  • Air Brake endorsement required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.
  • Ability to pass a company road test and Clearinghouse query.
  • Prior forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills to operate transportation systems, dispatch applications, or perform data entry tasks.
  • Basic math skills to verify orders and reconcile delivery documents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and work overtime as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Regularly sit in a truck and drive a company vehicle. Ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and balance frequently.
  • Driving: Driving on a regular basis on behalf of the company is an essential function of this role. A valid driver’s license and safe driving history is required.
