Job Description

We are in search of an Equipment Specialist who is responsible for all equipment sales activity in assigned accounts or regions. An Equipment Specialist supports the Santa Ana & SoCal sales department to deliver exceptional sales and service experience in the selection of and process of using cleaning equipment. Equipment Specialists maintain a high level of visibility with their accounts. Equipment specialists are expected to manage and support all aspects of equipment sales within their market to include driving programs, vendor relationships, and becoming the key point of contact for all equipment sales related activities.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Present and demonstrate equipment and services to current and potential customers.
  • Maintain a dynamic schedule to meet business demands and plan customer visits and other sales activity.
  • Research existing and new customers to gain knowledge about customers’ business needs and find develop sales opportunities.
  • Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities.
  • Manage a robust pipeline with up-to-date information.
  • Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, status reports, sales activity reports, sales goals, sales closings and sales follow-up calls.
  • Collaborative work with service department to drive service growth and overall health of equipment portfolio within customer base.
  • Supports reps and accounts through quality checks, follow-up meetings including communicating new products/services, opportunities or special developments.
  • Trains, communicates and develops sales reps to help support equipment sales and product knowledge.
  • Manages assigned branch(s) equipment inventory to make sure proper stock is in place and moving.
  • Participate in Sales events such as seminars, trade shows, and events as required.
  • Assists customers in the proper selection of equipment and building their cleaning procedures.
  • Manages suppliers within business vertical to support sales reps and drive revenue.
  • Works closely with BradyPLUS leadership in identifying new and strategic opportunities to drive equipment sales.
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • A minimum of 2-4 of experience in sales experience required .  
    High School Diploma required, Business related degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • MS Office experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of sales promotions and advertising techniques required.
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong time management skills.
  • Mechanically inclined  
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and wall, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift and move objects (50lbs or upto75 lbs., push or pull, dexterity and manual handling, fine motor skills, ability to operate equipment or powered hand tools.  Working outdoor/indoor setting, exposure to cleaning chemicals or hazardous materials with required protective gear. 
  • Ability to pass job-related employment screenings, to include a criminal background check and drug test

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $65,000- $75,000 per year plus bonus opportunities. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
