Description & Requirements
The Expeditor will partner with supply chain, transportation, operations and sales to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and financial performance through superior communication pertaining to fill rate and inventory planning and deployment. This position is responsible for monitoring special orders, sales support, inventory Inquiries and market intelligence. This position will be the primary point of contact surrounding inventory requests and market intelligence for the regions supported.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring large sales orders and adjusting as needed
- Reviewing and resolving backorders
- Monitoring and communicating special-order status
- Support and manage the sales support intake process for inventory inquires, market intelligence, supplier issues and communication
- Manage emergency need intake process, order fulfillment and communication
- Manage priority inbound purchase orders with operations support
- Partner with operations for inbound supplier related issues
- Partner with accounts payable on supplier receiving discrepancies
- Manage customer return intake processing
- Partner with operations on over, short and damaged receiving
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of two years of experience in inventory management or purchasing.
- Great verbal and written communication, detail-oriented, critical analysis, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to professionally interact with a wide range of internal and external partners
- Good analytical skills and proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good mathematical skills with the ability to perform basic math operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments and prioritize workflow with some supervision.
- Capable of assimilating information quickly and reaching conclusions.
- Understanding of the Purchasing Module of all applicable ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems preferred.
- Previous P21 experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person.
