Job Description

We are in search of a Regional Equipment Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for prospecting efforts to secure new business and achieve customer retention. The role will work closely with Marketing, Purchasing & the Sales Team to devise programs and vendor sources for all equipment products. This position will have management responsibilities and oversight in the region. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • New business development – drive the selling of Equipment portfolio of equipment, and services to amenable markets, including New to Market and Competitive Account Prospects.
  • Support National Account programs developed within region and drive results and adoption through EQ specialists and sales teams as directed by leadership.
  • Ensure all sales reps are aware of EQ programs and merchandising direction.
  • Support Sales Team with existing customer account management and customer relationships as it pertains to equipment requirements. This will include assisting with customer value creation, wallet share growth, and profit management.
  • Collaborate and interact with the Sales Team, Sales Managers, and key customer accounts.
  • Adept at demonstrating product performance.
  • Educate Sales Team / develop their product knowledge.
  • Maintain awareness of new product developments and market trends, continually work with regional / local equipment specialists to identify, and support janitorial equipment opportunities.
  • Report out to sales leadership and direct manager as it pertains to KPIs, metrics.
  • Provide guidance on vendor sourcing and developments to include new sourcing recommendations. Including rep group list, key points of contact and status of relationship.
  • Work with key Jan San vendors to develop and follow through on business directed initiatives and market support.
  • Conduct product training for the Sales Team during sales meetings in partnership with local EQ specialists.
  • Conduct Jan San seminars for customers as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Technical, Business or Market Development
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical people up to senior executives.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative relationship in a cross-functional team and with customers.
  • Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and propose solutions that exceed customers’ expectations and increase the company’s economic value.
  • Travel is required within the region as needed to ensure accountability and productivity within the sales teams.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
  • DRIVING: Driving on a regular basis on behalf of the company is an essential function of this role. A valid drivers’ license and safe driving history is required.
