Warehouse Associate/Backup Non CDL Driver

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Driver / Warehouse worker is responsible for the inventory of the warehouse, and daily delivery of product and materials.  Must be able to multi-task in a warehouse environment and work well under pressure to service the customer in a safe and timely manner.  Also, responsible for the procurement and dispatch process and delivery of products to customers and vendors for our established wholesale products that carry multiple brands of supplies.  Will make customer deliveries on Non-CDL 26 foot Straight Truck. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Lifting requirements - up to 50 lbs.

•    Receive, check, and stock merchandise. 

•    Fill sales orders for the customer. 

•    Must be DOT compliant and have a Driver’s Medical Card.

•    Will make customer deliveries on a Non-CDL Straight Trucks

•    Pick and verify orders for customers and inter-office transfers. Prepare orders for shipment as needed.

•    Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.

•    Daily loading and unloading of products for delivery to customers and/or for product delivery to other branches. 

•    Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.

•    Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns. 

•    When needed, assists management in warehouse inventory counts, picking and pulling orders, daily maintenance of the warehouse and other duties as assigned.

•    Other assigned duties, as needed. 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•    Minimum of 1 year of truck driving experience.

•    Candidate must have some warehouse experience including driving a forklift.

•    A clean driving record. 

•    Valid Driver's License  

•    Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service. 

•    Must be able to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.  

•    Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics

•    High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
