Job Description

We are in search of a Service Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting the Manager, and Installers, and Technicians to optimize processes and drive growth. This role involves maintaining strong product and service knowledge, frequent interaction with customers and Sales Representatives, and managing scheduling for equipment pick-ups, returns, and installations. Responsibilities include advising customers when purchasing new equipment is more cost-effective than repairs, resolving issues promptly, and educating customers on rental and maintenance programs. The position also requires preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with Technicians, processing warranties, and maintaining inventory. The coordinator should uphold high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and courtesy while being capable of training across Service Center, Customer Service, and administrative functions. Additional duties may be assigned.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Continuously improve product and service knowledge. 
  • Enhance the Service Center’s role as a profit center.     
  • Communicate with Sanitary Maintenance Consultants regarding pricing, orders, and concerns. 
  • Schedule installations, repairs, and equipment pick-ups. 
  • Maintain professionalism and keep the Service Center organized. 
  • Serve as backup for the Lead Service Technician. 
  • Manage customer orders and initiate related processes. 
  • Prepare and quote estimates, clearly explaining necessary, recommended, and cosmetic items. 
  • Promote equipment sales as an alternative to repairs when appropriate. 
  • Assist customers with product knowledge and educate them on rental and maintenance programs. 
  • Ensure timely follow-up on estimates, repairs, and customer communications. 
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and processes. 
  • Oversee equipment inventory and administer maintenance programs. 
  • Process orders, packing slips, sample tickets, parts sales, and warranties promptly. 
  • Supervise and train Service Center Customer Service agents and Installers. 
  • Assign tasks, verify compliance with procedures, and maintain a strong service orientation. 
  • Prepare performance appraisals and assist in developing growth plans for team members.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Tech Savvy - ability to use smart phones and learn new technologies
  • Proficiency in the English language, bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.

 

Compensation & Benefits 

The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $27.00 per hour/year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
