Description & Requirements
We are in search of a Receiving Lead to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing daily inbound operations, ensuring all incoming shipments are safely unloaded, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently. This role supports the Operations Warehouse Manager by directing team members, maintaining accurate inventory records, and upholding safety and quality standards. The Receiving Lead plays a key role in coordinating with vendors, buyers, drivers, and other internal departments to ensure smooth and timely receiving operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receive incoming deliveries
- Set up delivery and pick up dates and times
- Familiar with WMS/P21
- Conduct stock counts/inventory audits
- Ensure products match PO’s
- Direct staging, counting, and inspection of items
- Check for damaged, missing, or incorrect items
- Report and resolve shipment discrepancies with vendors/buyers
- Ensure accurate input into inventory systems WMS/P21
- Maintain receiving logs and records
- Communicate with purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams
- Promote a clean and organized receiving area
- Train new associates on receiving procedures and equipment
- Enforce safety and productivity standards
- Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
- Answer calls and provide information as needed.
- Processes customer orders and changes according to established department policies and procedures.
- Process orders Brady Sales Representative phone in and act as point of contact regarding open orders.
- Maintain various accounts and review open orders.
- Pull Material Safety Data Sheets and copy as required for customers.
- Research customer’s problems and follow through to resolution.
- Cover receptionist’s telephone as required.
- Other projects and duties assigned by supervisor.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A minimum of 1-2 of experience in customer service, warehouse/distribution preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Must possess excellent problem solving abilities and be detailed oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement in decision making
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day)
- Occasionally standing and walking within the warehouse to gather information or coordinate with operations staff
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, small packages)
- Must be able to bend, reach, and twist occasionally during coordination tasks or while accessing files/supplies
- Manual dexterity required for frequent use of computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment
- Clear verbal and written communication required in a potentially noisy warehouse environment
- Must be able to visually inspect documents, labels, and computer screens
- Occasional exposure to warehouse temperatures, which may vary seasonally
- Ability to pass job-related employment screenings.
