We are in search of a Consolidation and Reporting Manager to join our growing team. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consolidation and Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, drafting technical accounting memos and policies, and maintaining roll forwards. This role also requires a high level of collaboration with business partners across various business controllers to ensure alignment and accurate financial reporting.
This position may be based in Glenview, IL; Las Vegas, NV; or Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform and manage intercompany eliminations during the consolidation process in accordance with accounting standards. Ensure intercompany balances are accurately reconciled and eliminated.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the parent company, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support drafting technical accounting memos, development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation and review of roll-forwards as needed for various accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to gather necessary data and maintain consistent tracking of roll-forwards.
- Act as a key liaison between the finance department and business partners across various functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and the alignment of business activities with accounting requirements.
- Assist in special projects, system improvements, and process optimizations related to accounting functions.
- Collaborate to enhance control environment to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support the external audit process by providing the necessary documentation and explanations for financial reporting as needed.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, OneStream is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate technical accounting concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Familiarity with lease accounting standard ASC 842 is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person.
