Job Description

Shipping Supervisor 

 

The Shipping Supervisor oversees the day-to-day shipping operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of outbound goods. This role manages shipping staff, coordinates logistics, and ensures compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Supervise and lead the shipping team to ensure all outbound orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate daily shipments, including scheduling carrier pickups and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock accuracy and availability for orders.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of shipping processes and packing procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the shipping area.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate performance of shipping personnel.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping issues, including damages, delays, and misrouted items.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Receiving, Customer Service, Sales, etc.) to resolve order or delivery issues.
  • Generate shipping performance reports and analyze trends to recommend improvements.
  • Support and drive the implementation of new initiatives and process improvements
  • Other Duties as assigned. 

 

The ideal candidate will have:    

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in shipping or warehouse operations, with 1+ year in a supervisory role.
  • Forklift experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $27.88-$29.81 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
