Job Description

We are in search of an Account Manager (Field Sales) to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a profitable customer base of accounts within the Industrial Packaging Vertical for United-Hughes. Selected candidate will be a hunter of strategic multi-location large volume accounts and develop relationships with customers and supplier partners to enable value added selling and best business practices that promotes our National and Strategic account philosophies.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Prospect for new business using company tools and resources.
  • Maintain and grow existing customers and continually expand footprint within account.
  • Prepare quotes for new items using supplier network and procurement department.
  • Manage custom stocked inventory to ensure proper turns.
  • Provide Vendor Managed Inventory when requested by customers.
  • Prepare and perform business reviews for top customers.
  • Continually train and improve expertise in packaging through supplier training.
  • Educate customers on supply chain conditions and pricing fluctuations.
  • Resolve any payment related issues if AR department experience roadblocks.
  • Attend and participate in monthly on-site sales meetings.
  • Participate in industry trade shows.
  • Work with manufacture reps in regard to referral opportunities.
  • Solicit referrals from existing customers.
  • Other duties as assigned


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Skilled in negotiations, building relationships, prospecting, and closing
  • Possess strong collaboration, delegation, and analytical qualities.
  • Sales Experience in a related industry preferred.
  • Entrepreneur mindset
  • Independently driven work ethic
  • Business acumen, customer focus and ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment.
  • Attention to detail, communication and organization skills.
  • Overall computer proficiency.
