ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Prepare and review U.S. sales and use tax, property tax, and abandoned and unclaimed property tax for all business regions, including filing submissions and payment processing

•    Process optimization on resales certificates and sales exemption certifications 

•    Experience with Sales and Use Tax and Indirect Tax strategies to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency across multiple jurisdictions

•    Assist with indirect tax audits and manage sales tax notices

•    Lead sales tax integration using Avalara and partner with third parties service providers

•    Ensure all sale use tax accounts are reconciled 

•    Provide indirect tax advice to business partners, including researching the taxability of products, and services across different jurisdictions and business lines

•    Assist with business licenses renewal, registration 

•    Additional duties or special projects as assigned

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

•    5 + years of indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting.

•    Licensed CPA preferred.

•    Avalara integration and implementation experience is a must.

•    Strong technical, research, and problem-solving skills.

•    Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a very fast-paced work environment.

•    Ability to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person.

•    Ability to pass job-related employment screenings..
