We are in search of a M&A Senior Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an individual who has a demonstrated track record of successful M&A experience, preferably with experience executing a buy-and-build strategy within a private equity portfolio company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset, effective communication skills, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple simultaneous priorities. In this role, you will have regular exposure and interaction with our executive team and private equity sponsors (Warburg Pincus and Kelso), playing a key role in the execution of high-impact transactions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with the broader M&A team and executive leadership to develop and execute the M&A strategy.
- Manage M&A transactions – both proprietary and marketed processes – from initial analysis through to closing, overseeing day-to-day project management, due diligence, valuation analysis and structuring, and ensuring that due diligence learnings are reflected in transaction documentation.
- Collaborate with the executive team and private equity sponsors to assess and evaluate investment opportunities, providing strategic insights and recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders, including board presentations, investment memorandums, and detailed transaction proposals.
- Conduct and lead complex financial, operational, and market research to inform and support transaction structuring and strategy development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Coordinate across functional areas – both with internal and external parties – to ensure seamless execution of M&A transactions (finance / accounting, legal, operations, tax, HR, insurance, IT, etc.).
- Assist in the development and execution of long-term M&A strategies, identifying new opportunities and helping shape the company’s growth direction.
- Oversee the development of proprietary transaction pipeline and maintenance of outbound marketing effort through the CRM system (Salesforce).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree, and MBA highly desirable, from a top-tier university.
- 4 – 7 years of experience, ideally with a combination of corporate M&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, financial due diligence and/or FP&A.
- Prior experience executing a buy-and-build strategy within a private equity platform is highly desirable.
- Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumen including strong understanding of accounting.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on execution and impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), including the ability to tailor communications to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines with tight timelines.
- Self-starter and comfort with ambiguity; must be self-directed and proactive starting day 1 on the job.
- High degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to develop deep trust-based relationships and influence different stakeholder groups (both internal and external).
