Operations Manager 

 

We are searching for an Operations Manager to join our growing team. The Operations Manager is responsible for all warehouse, inventory, distribution, safety, and facility related activities within the distribution center(s) he/she may oversee. 

 

 Responsibilities Include:  

  • Provide positive leadership and short to mid-term planning/strategy for DC leaders and staff
  • Provide support and management to operational staff including warehouse, transportation, inventory, sales support, and service center departments
  • Ensuring support operations are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Select, train, develop, and motivate managers; evaluate performance and recommend salary actions to ensure a stable and competent organization. 
  • Manage route logistics for efficient deliveries to Seattle, Portland, Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Spokane metro areas and ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain adequate and accurate inventories and service levels.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment to minimize the company’s losses and liability and protect employee’s well-being.
  • Manage expenses to an operational budget.   Review cost of goods to maximize profitability.
  • Provide logistical input in order to streamline the operation while improving efficiency.
  • Provide support and guidance to operational employees to ensure maintenance of positive morale and motivation.
  • Work with Sales Management and procurement in resolving any and all customer service/operational issues.
  • Responsible for equipment, vehicle and facility maintenance.
  • Approve credits for returns or pricing.
  • Establish and maintain proper level of staffing.
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:  

  • A minimum of 5-7 of experience in warehouse, distribution or supply chain.  
  • Previous management experience is required
  • High School Degree required. Bachelor Degree preferable.
  • People leadership, P&L competency, ERP, MS Office intermediate experience required
  • Material Handling experience and fleet management is a requirement
  • Lean Six Sigma or distribution related certifications high preferred 
  • Ability to be flexible working long hours with little notice. Ability to work night shift as needed. Must be able and willing to push, pull, lift up to 50lbs, operate Material Handling Equipment and drive delivery vehicles.
        Ability to pass job-related employment screenings
