Brady Plus

We are in search of a Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for testing, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing packaging machinery.  This role requires knowledge of various trades and would perform a wide variety of electrical and mechanical maintenance and service work on various types of packaging equipment. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Diagnose, Identify, and Troubleshooting Industrial Packaging Equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Face-to-Face Customer Service - Maintaining open and informative communication with customers to ensure diagnosis and status of repair updates are given to establish customer trust and confidence.
• Provide service reports, service and parts quotes, tech stock inventory, and expense reports to the service manager on all activities and complete them promptly.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures always
• Read electrical and mechanical schematics and other documentation to prepare for assigned service calls, installations, and customer training.
• Complete and pass all factory certification courses as the Field Service Training Program dictates.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Salesforce CRM
• Must be able to drive a forklift.
• Supply and maintain your own tools and test equipment with the appropriate calibration ensuring all tools and car stock parts are kept safe and secure.
• Must be able to work in conditions that are not climate controlled (example: distribution centers, manufacturing plants)

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; or higher degree preferred
• 5+ years of related experience in electrical field or relevant packaging equipment. 
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical ability
• Possess strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
• Possess good organizational skills
• Tech Savvy - ability to use smart phones and learn new technologies
• Proficiency in the English language, bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required

• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Frequently kneel, stand, and bend. 
• Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
• Driving: Driving on a regular basis on behalf of the company is an essential function of this role. A valid driver’s license and save driving history is required.
