Field Service Technician II
We are in search of a Field Service Technician II to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing packaging equipment. The Service Technician II would be able to work on most manufacturers secondary packaging equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Diagnose, identify and troubleshoot industrial packaging equipment.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Conduct installation, maintenance and repair work and run/lead the entire jobsite.
- Respond to and resolve emergency service calls
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Train junior maintenance staff.
- Frequently use hand and power tools.
- Provide Technical Support to other FST's in the field.
- Train Junior Maintenance Staff.
- Perform film audits and be able to identify film issues and resolutions.
- Safely Driving to customer sites.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold certificates from multiple packaging manufacturer training classes.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Experience in the commercial industry packaging equipment repair.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work on-call during nights and weekends
- Valid driver's license
- Mechanical ability
- Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
- Possess good organizational skills
- Tech Savvy - ability to use smart phones and learn new technologies
- Proficiency in the English language, bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Frequently kneel, stand, and bend.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
- Driving: Driving on a regular basis on behalf of the company is an essential function of this role. A valid driver’s license and save driving history is required.
