Job Description

We are in search of a Sales Consultant who is responsible for   differentiating our range of service, product and knowledge to create value over and above that offered by others in the marketplace. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Create sales volume and ongoing growth of bleacher and basketball inspections and repairs. 
  • Maintain existing accounts. Provide service to accounts, which may require some evenings and occasional weekends. 
  • Keeping customer files and records updated. 
  • Responsible for the following activities and reporting requirements: 
    1. Demonstration and use of Company Selling program. 
    2. Support, attend an on-time completion of all training initiatives 
    3. Submission of weekly pre-planners and daily written follow up 
    4. Written professional and personal goals 
  • Occasionally go into the field to assist with inspections and help with service repairs. 
  • Working closely with internal team members to assist with coordination of quotations, order entry, etc.
  • Actively utilizing a time management system, and customer management system adopted by Sideline Sports.
  • Attending sales meetings and training seminars when available/as scheduled.  
  • Responsible for timely responses and utilization of the communication tools available, such as voice mail, e-mail, etc. Attend, participate and arrive on time to meetings when scheduled; to arrive to work on time, every day. 
  • Keeping Sideline Sports and affiliate business related issues confidential. 
  • Complete all HR/OSHA safety training within the timelines provided. 
  • Become proficient in daily usage of Sideline Sports software programs.
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s license, good driving record at all times; adherence to Risk Management policy.
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.   Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area. 
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • TECHNOLOGY: Proficient use of computers used for data entry, email retrieval, training, and various other computer related tasks. Ability to use and be proficient in our ERP and CRM systems and any other technology adopted in the future.
  • Ability to pass job-related employment screenings.
