We are in search of a Strategic Account Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service to all North American Corporation customers as well as provide internal support to Account Executives assigned to these accounts and assist in developing and maintaining a professional business relationship.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide internal support to assigned Account Executive(s) regarding any customer issues, complaints, and/or requests
• Process customer orders received by phone, fax, email, or mail.
• Answer a large volume of customer calls regarding orders, inquiries, and problems/complaints
• Answer customer questions regarding product and/or their order
• Handle complaints within established guidelines and initiate appropriate follow-up and response
• Track orders/deliveries that customers have not received to determine the status of the order and the expected arrival
• Assist with returned goods – process Returned Goods Authorizations and and/all follow up required
• Provide pricing to customers
• Complete and maintain all paperwork related to customer transactions.
• Act as a liaison between customer and other internal departments for all requests (ex – PODs, invoices, etc)
• Work closely with purchasing regarding inventory
• Follow up on open backorders/open orders for assigned Account Executive(s)
• Communicate with Account Executive(s) regarding any customer problems, complaints, or requests
• Use Customer Portals/websites to maintain pricing/items/shipping/logistic information
• Log into a shared phone queue to answer incoming customer calls with the team
• Miscellaneous tasks and requests as needed
• Provide back-up coverage for accounts in the absence of other Customer Service Reps
• Help train new hires
• Additional duties or special projects as assigned
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Excellent phone/verbal communication skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent/Professional email etiquette
• Excellent data entry skills
• High energy and problem solving/multi-tasking skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (required)
• 5-7 years previous experience in sales support or customer service in a distribution or manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
• Ability to pass job-related employment screenings, to include a criminal background check and drug test
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this role is $24.04-$30.29 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
