Job Description

We are in search of a Sales Manager who is responsible for the overall sales gross margin and selling expense results of his/her sales team.   In this role, you will develop and implement sales programs to help achieve the necessary objectives.  As a Sales Manager, you will direct and oversee the daily management of Field Sales Representatives. Sales Managers must be able to identify key markets, staying current on emerging trends, and drive growth in a variety of markets.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the sales team and all decisions and actions of personnel under his/her jurisdiction.
  • Direct and motivate all sales team members in the proper direction through communication and delegation. 
  • Set the example for the general attitude of the sales people in the division and strive to build a spirit of teamwork with sales and other personnel. 
  • Ensure business activity and development is managed through company required software programs.   
  • Work extensively with sales personnel in the field calling on customers.  May be responsible for assigned accounts. 
  • Select, train, direct and motivate employees; appraise performance and create development plans, recommend salary and account actions for subordinates to assure a stable and competent organization. 
  • Responsible for creating a business plan to sustain existing business, develop new business and increase order size and gross margin percentages in the marketplaces. 
  • Maintains sales volume by adapting to changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand in the local market.
  • Responsible for insuring the market is receiving proper sales coverage through time and territory management of sales personnel through recommending account assignment and rotation. 
  • Assists with planning special events such as trade shows, banquets, and seminars. 
  • Responsible for obtaining sales, order size, and gross profit goals. 
  • Maintain quotes and essential sales data to manage pricing for profitability and market penetration. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree in sales/marketing or business preferred.
  • 10 years of related sales or related experience, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team.
  • Ability to develop marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and be details oriented.
  • Intermediate or advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office suite including word and excel.
  • Be a self-starter with strong time-management skills.
  • Strong sense of accomplishment, initiative and tenacity

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $150,000- $160,000 per year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
