We are searching for a Inventory Control Coordinator to join our growing team. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Manager, and is responsible for monitoring and reporting inventory levels and accuracy in accordance with established company policies. This role ensures accurate cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, supports warehouse inventory training, and helps facilitate the efficient processing of returns and slow-moving items. It requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor and report inventory levels and accuracy for assigned location
- Conduct daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Report discrepancies to management and recommend corrective actions
- Work with accounting and warehouse teams to identify and process slow-moving, obsolete, or returned inventory
- Support cross-functional accountability in inventory processes and initiate corrective measures as needed
- Assist in training warehouse employees on proper inventory procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics (preferred)
- Forklift training and certification
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
