Job Description

We are in search of a Senior Public Sector Sales Manager who is responsible for coordinating the bid and contract activity in the Maryland, DC, VA region between the BradyPLUS branches in that region.  This person is responsible for account retention, organic growth, net new business opportunities and delivering BradyPLUS value propositions. The Senior Public Sector Sales Manager will support as the subject matter expert in bid process development, managing contracts and related policies.  He or she will also act as the manager to the contract specialist and advisor to sales, business development and customer partners.  This person will utilize the best available contract vehicles and work to expand the categories we serve each client to include JanSan, Food Service Disposables, Smallware, Packaging, Food Service Equipment and MRO products if possible.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Leverage industry, product and contract expertise to enable sales retention and growth across all of the segments we can provide
  • Collaborate and provide expert consult to sales partners in the region on bids and contracts
  • Plan for contract renewals, explore new account opportunities in collaboration with the sales team, and ensure the terms of contractual agreements are written in accordance with the desires of the client, the policies of the company and federal and state regulations
  • Work with the bid team and category experts to ensure we align the most competitive vendors to win the business, using Plus Picks and Preferred Vendors whenever possible.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on tax supported segment sales opportunities and related contracts
  • Partner with sales leadership on short and long term planning as it relates to bid response strategy; Develop enhanced businesses processes
  • Work with regional leadership to develop a Mid-Atlantic public-sector sales strategy
  • Build and maintain a wide network of contacts with both customers and vendor partners
  • Travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic when necessary to attend essential customer meetings

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • At least 10 years of sales experience with public sector business and contracts in the JanSan and/or food service or packaging industries
  • Proven track record of success in B2B Public Sector Sales
  • In depth understanding of the tax supported segment and related contract processes
  • High Level of Proficiency with Salesforce.com
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to competently run high-level Quarterly Business Reviews with clients
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization and time management skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
     

Compensation & Benefits 

The pay range for this role is $140,000- $150,000 annually. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
