Job Description

We are in search of a Chemical Specialist Area Manager to join our growing team. This role will assists the Regional Laundry/Warewash Service Manager in the daily supervision of the team members with the appropriate training, tools, direction and motivation to enable their success, as well as interacting directly with customers. This position will be in the Area of Colorado, Utah and Idaho and have to regularly travel to those areas.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Direct, plan, apportion, and allocate work of chemical specialists, including routing and off-hour coverage.
  • Assist the Regional Laundry/Warewash Service Manager in training existing and new chemical specialists. 
  • Reports to the Regional Laundry/Warewash Service Manager any customer related issues requiring their attention. 
  • Supervise work schedules and tasks of chemical specialists.
  • Monitor and implement company policy and legal compliance measures.
  • Handling employee complaints and grievances.
  • Assist chemical specialists with troubleshooting issues and problems.
  • Provide the Regional Laundry/Warewash Service Manager with suggestions and recommendations as to hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, and other changes in status.
  • Appraising employees' productivity and efficiency for purposes of changes in status
  • Responsible for supplying all technicians with materials and tools they need to perform duties.
  • Responsible for surveying new accounts for install and supervise all new installs to ensure Brady standards are in place.
  • Determine types of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools to be used. 
  • In charge and responsible for gathering/staging all equipment, parts, tools, etc. for new installs, with follow-up and quality control on new accounts. 
  • Monitor and control budget and expenses associated with new installs and service.
  • Ordering and maintaining test kit chemicals par levels for technicians.
  • Interfaces with customers and sales representatives to address relationship and technical challenges and assure customer satisfaction and retention. 
  • Provides information, resolves problems, and advises internal and external customers on products and/or services, for highest customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Performs quality control surveys on all key Laundry & Warewash accounts.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
  • Cover for all technicians for vacations, sick time, time off, out of town, etc.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 3-4 years of mechanical experience with experience as a supervisor
  • Must possess a current driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, intermediate math skills required.
  • Mechanical and technical ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures; organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to supervise others and foster a cooperative work environment including training, scheduling, and employee development and performance management skills required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement in decision making. 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

The pay range for this role is $68,000- $92,000 year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
