Inventory Control Supervisor
We are searching for an Inventory Control Supervisor to join our growing team. As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient inventory management, and optimizing distribution center operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise and conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Analyze inventory data and reports to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and minimize stock outs or overstocking
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices to ensure operational excellence
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of products
- Investigate and track shortages and inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Develop and implement inventory management projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
- Manage the replenishment of primary picking locations from inventory storage locations
- Analyze business activity of inventory and locate products based on fastest to slowest moving products
- Determine where new incoming products will be located based on forecasts and usage
- Work with purchasing and other departments to reduce inventory that is in the warehouse, including duplicate items, slow-moving items, and discontinued items
- Participate in daily operations and meetings to ensure smooth and efficient distribution center operations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management preferred
- Experience with inventory management software and systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college or equivalent work experience preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in an inventory role, preferably in a warehouse atmosphere
- 3 years of prior supervisory experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $50000-$70000/year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
