We are searching for a Warehouse Manager to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for training and development of warehouse staff, efficiency of warehouse operations and overall divisional warehouse functions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for recommendations and execution of procedures involving shipping, receiving, inventory and all aspects of warehouse procedures, including communication with purchasing and sales.
- Institute, support and enforce safety programs and guidelines.
- Select, train, direct and motivate employees.
- Appraise performance and recommend salary actions.
- Direct day and night warehouse crew and delivery drivers through Lead personnel.
- Schedule and insure accurate receiving and put away of stock.
- Insure delivery trucks are safely and accurately loaded.
- Insure drivers demonstrate outstanding customer service and safe working and driving habits.
- Insure all DOT rules and regulations are strictly enforced.
- Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions in warehouse, including safe storage of hazardous products.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Prior management experience (distribution and warehousing environment preferred).
- Experience with ERP and Microsoft Applications
- Previous AS400 (Aplus) experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license (Brady to provide training).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs.
