Job Description

Floating Sales Associate 

 

We are in search of a Floating Sales Associate based in our Alexandra, Virginia store location and will report to the Store Manager.  The Sales Associate will support in the daily sales and operational functions of the store, to include providing stellar customer service, maintaining an exceptionally clean and stocked facility, and solution selling to customers seeking janitorial and building supplies. Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • Operates and reconciles cash registers to receive payments in the form of AR Accounts, credit card, cash or check.

 

  • Participates in sales promotion activities and merchandises store front effectively as directed by the Sales Manager.

 

  • Assists in generating new sales and customer relationships.

 

  • Assists with store inventory transfers including ordering for store inventory and cycle counts.

 

  • Expedites orders for customer deliver.

 

  • Participates in off-site sales meetings as required.

 

  • Accurately prepares, communicates, and delivers the stores daily financial records to corporate including closeouts and making bank deposits if necessary.  

 

  • Maintains stellar store cleanliness at all times.

 

  • Stocks shelves and front facing products daily.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: 


  • Exceptional customer service skills 
  • At least 1 year of distribution center or retail sales experience preferred however we will train the right candidate!
  • Facility supplies / JanSan product knowledge a plus
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Superior ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to handle customer concerns to resolution or use proper judgement to escalate
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30lbs 
  • Sales aptitude and ability to solution sell
  • Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) a plus
  • Willingness to work weekends and / or travel locally to another store to provide coverage.
  • Must be able to travel to the other CleanStop Locations as needed. 
  • Valid driver’s license with vehicle a plus

 

Compensation & Benefits 

The pay range for this role is $19-$20/hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
