Logistics Administration (Part Time)
We are in search of a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Logistics Administrator. This role is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to both new and existing clients while overseeing inventory transactions, including material movement through warehouse facilities and direct shipments from manufacturing. The position also manages essential financial, clerical, and administrative functions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, this role handles incoming client communications and supports daily office operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Inventory team with daily cycle counts, reporting, audits, and invoicing.
- Oversee warehouse operations, promote a safe working environment, and assist Managers in supervising warehouse personnel.
- Train team members and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Participate in disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
- Investigate and implement corrective measures for issues such as picking errors, count discrepancies, and pallet returns.
- Verify proper truck loading procedures, ensuring accurate stacking, secure packing, and load efficiency.
- Manage receiving of backhauls and re-shipments; verify documentation, inspect materials, and ensure accurate counts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory and support staff in resolving order-related discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Safety Team to reinforce a safety-first culture; communicate safety concerns to staff and leadership.
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and five years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills
- Above average computer literacy with Microsoft Office & WMS
- Keen Eye for details; experience in Quality Control and Continuous Improvement.
