The E&S Smallware Specialist is responsible for successfully sourcing and managing large Equipment and Small wares projects for specific PJP customers. The position reports to the Sr. E&S Procurement Manager and works closely with other members of the Procurement team. The position will interact on a regular basis with Sales, Operations, Accounts Payable, Project Management, and Purchasing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate large Small wares projects with a focus on specific customer bases.
- Work with the vendor community to process purchase orders as well as communicate requests regarding desired lead times.
- Interface with both Sales and Customers to provide updates regarding project status, lead times, and projected date of completion.
- Review project to determine time frame.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Work with Warehouse Manager to coordinate delivery schedule.
- Work with Warehouse Manager to coordinate staging of equipment.
- Report damage to manufacturers.
- Work in Autoquotes to look up pertinent product information, retrieve quotes, and provide both Equipment and Small wares quotations to sales and customers.
- Small wares quotations will be processed with a full understanding of product type, customer preference, and case pack.
- Analyze drawings and equipment schedules for smallware applications.
- Assist in creating Autoquotes
- Coordinate deliveries with the PJP Project Manager and Procurement.
- Monitor project inventory levels monthly.
- Review smallware orders once it has been released from Credit.
- Review project schedule to determine when to start placing orders.
- Set up item numbers for the items being ordered (if not set up previously).
- Review and keep a copy of all order confirmations.
- Balance the project when all orders are placed to make sure order total reflects the bottom line on the customer’s Purchase Order.
- Make modifications to project when a change order is submitted
- Track orders for ETA’s to get an idea of when a project will be complete
- Check freight programs prior to placing an order to see if the minimum for pre-paid freight has been met.
- Possess a general understanding of vendor programs and works closely with the Equipment and Small wares buyers to effectively plan the placement of purchase orders.
- Understands and demonstrates PJP’s Core Values.
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree; or 1-2 years of Equipment and Small wares product line related experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of Autoquotes (not required but desired).
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detailed oriented and well organized
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $47,000- $62,000 per year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
