We are in search of a Warehouse Lead to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Warehouse Manager and team by pulling orders, receiving product, putting away product, unloading freight, inventory control, keeping quality customer service and safety in mind at all times. This is a hands-on role, will cross train on all tasks and activities of the Warehouse as needed. Continually look for efficiencies and cost savings as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
• Ensures that backorders due to human error are eliminated, reviewing potential backorders for each truck before the truck is loaded. Ensures that backorders are indicated on delivery tickets as well as entered into ERP system.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure proper training takes place with all team members, including completing assigned on-line training is completed on time. Training should also include pulling SDS sheets, marking orders with orange HazMat stickers, DOT requirements, teaching team members how to properly load trucks, secure loads, and how to safely load and secure all equipment.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure the team is trained in prepping and assembly of equipment, and document this training, for all existing equipment stock and for all new equipment brought.
• Master the Warehouse Module, and future software programs adopted by the Company. Utilize these programs to build efficiencies, lower transportation costs, remove inefficiencies; Gather and review metrics and reports for benchmarks for better results. Providing creative feedback on what we can do with truck runs, drivers and staffing to create maximized and efficient truck runs every day.
• Work with the Coordinating team to keep our pending orders are low as possible.
• Ensure product is received in, put away and stock is rotated as needed, assist as needed; Assist with inventory control and cycle counting. Ensuring FIFO principles are adhered to.
• Assist with facilities management in regards to maintenance of both inside and outside needs including seasonal tasks such as: Snow removal of walks and sidewalks, ice melt, carpet cleaning, warehouse cleaning of floors, dusting of products on shelves, as well as ensuring the equipment, tools, etc. are maintained and in good working condition, and meet safety guidelines.
• Assist with the layout of all warehouses and shipping/receiving areas that promotes efficiencies in pulling product for orders, and considers growth, seasonal items, product turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored. Prior review and approval of any major changes is required, Coordinates findings with purchasing and supervisor on non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Assist with preparation of orders to be delivered by BBC, for customer pickup, and orders shipping out via other carriers, and on BBC trucks.
• Assign orders, route truck runs and assist with palletizing orders for delivery. Ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded evenly with proper weights and level loaded.
• Load BBC trucks for next day delivery.
• Assist as needed with unloading freight; stock of product; rotation of product and inventory control/cycle counting. Will be primary point of receiving incoming freight.
• Assist with deliveries as needed.
• All Safety/HR training must be completed within the given timelines.
• Keeping BBC and affiliate companies’ business-related issues confidential. Embrace and promote programs adopted by BBC for development of company and team, including Mission, Vision and Core Values.
• Miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.
• Responsible for timely responses and utilization of the communication tools available. To arrive to work on time and ready to work; Attends, participates and arrives on time to meetings when scheduled.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the day-to-day oversight of the Warehouse and Delivery Driver Teams.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION: Forklift Certification; Valid driver’s licenses, good driving record at all times.
• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and professionally before individual customers or employees of an organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance as needed. Push and pull from 10-400 pounds, and operate auto scrubbers, vacuums, wet/dry vacs, extractors, sweepers, floor machines, and other janitorial cleaning equipment and bar beverage equipment. (Approximate weight from 10 to 1000 pounds). May need to occasionally use ramp and push or pull automatic scrubbers or other equipment up the ramp, with assistance by other personnel Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• TECHNOLOGY: Proficient use of computers for data entry, email, training, Microsoft Office Suite, and various other computer-related tasks. Ability to understand, use and be proficient in our ERP system, Logistics software and driver video software and any other technology adopted in the future.
• TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Safety belt available, forklift, dollies, pallet jacks, platform truck, pull chains, blankets and other equipment associated with truck driving and delivery needs. Possible use of power tools such as drills and screwdrivers and other hand tools. Possible handling of batteries, chargers, motors, and use of forklift.
