Description & Requirements
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations to ensure efficient, organized, and safe storage and distribution of goods. This role is responsible for managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate cycle counts or full physical inventories.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Implement and uphold safety procedures and OSHA compliance to create a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and customer service teams to meet operational goals and service expectations.
- Monitor KPIs and generate reports on productivity, order accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations for warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with carriers and vendors.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse supervision or management experience.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to warehouse environment (temperature fluctuations, noise)
- Occasional extended hours during peak periods
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift up to 50lbs.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
